Are there any policies for the military in terms of receiving email from business?

My company is trying to figure out if US soldiers are able to receive email from businesses to their military accounts. I know some emails get filtered out. This would not be spam, but emails they would sign up to receive. Any insight or links on their policies would be helpful. Thanks!

Yes there is Department of Defense regulations that basically say that military personnel's e-mail is for official business only. That means e-mail relating to our work. We can have our e-mail access taken from us if we abuse this by getting and sending chain e-mail's or by having a ton of personal, not work related e-mail's sent to us. What you are asking to do is not allowed unless you have it cleared through the State Department/DOD.
Reply:All email is filtered. Chances are they would never even get it.

They do not have access on military computers, for safety reasons to private email websites, etc.

Anything sent to the military addresses is property of the Government and can be read. If you are flagged for spam then you will be blocked from their network.
