Maybe you are trying to reset a lost password for your client so they can create a new one. Without details on what software you are using this question can't be answered. Becareful that company will ban you for sending emails without prier consent from the email addresses owner make sure that you look through thier spam policy I have been trying with this company for almost 8 months I tried everything and I only have one person that signed up under me and about 500 people that went to the site and saw the advertisment, if you find a way let me know maybe we could work together on that project. User A saves 30 seconds before user B.


When user B saves, what happens to user A's changes that are not in user B's copy. They are written over wasting all of user A's time and forcing him/her to redo everything.

way to get around this is to use versions. send it out in a format which marks any amendments and labels amendmets with the users details. do this by going to tools protect/share worksheet and select the suitable options.

Depending on which country you are in, you should be able to contact a government fair trading body or some sort.


This should not happen, it's not fair.

In some cases you might be able to complain via credit card company or something comparable and refuse to pay, in others they're going to try to grab and run and play "catch me if you can" and you'll likely need to report to the appropriate law enforcement / government agency.

The primary email address I use is dubc82. Its basically like spelling my initials wc out. I know how companies and possibly universities look negatively on email addresses that are inappropriate. It's easy to overlook things sometimes if you get a lot of mail, and you wouldn't want to do that with something very important. Plus~hard telling what you might send to your boss, etc. if you would accidentally hit the reply to all button;) Make your professional addy look professional...your first inital.lastname or something like that..you'll be taken more seriously, and they will remember you.

Note: I'm not a lawyer, but to me it sounds as if #6 a) could apply in your case since it is a business mail account and may be crucial to keep the business going. I suggest to talk with a real lawyer about it before taking any further steps. Good luck!

I have a company that is telling me that I must get rid of my email addresses because it is similar to their company name. Bit strange I reckon.

Some time back, the fashion company Armani had apparently sued a gentleman by the name of A. R. Mani to get hold of a domain name.





It seems they tried intimidating him. He was ok with the idea of giviing up the domian name but he wanted to be compensated for the costs of printing new business cards and stationery etc.





The company refused although it offered him an expensive suit for his trouble. He just wanted the compensation.





The case went up to either ICANN or WIPO which ruled in favour of Mr. Mani.





You could try and get more information on this of the net. It does seem similar to your case.
Reply:Without knowing all the details, it's hard to say but generally if a company has trademark or prior common-law rights to their name, then they will have the rights to enforce their rights.





But names are not protected "across the board;" certain parameters apply:





1) Are the names similar in Sound, Appearance or Meaning?





2) Are the industries the same or similar to one another?





3) Are the names confusingly similar to the average consumer? In other words, could customers be confused and assume that both companies are affiliated?

"The principal factors considered by the examining attorney in determining whether there would be a likelihood of confusion are:





the similarity of the marks; and


the commercial relationship between the goods and/or services listed in the application.

Canaca (as per the link) will offer you hosting with an interface to create your own email addresses. VERY useful and easy interface.





Otherwise, you have to get your own Exchange(or Groupwise/Domino) server and set up your own mail service. Not something cheap or for those not technically inclined.

Reply:there are two things you can do. One is to click on options on the top right of your email screen, then click on filters. Make sure that there are no filters in there that might be making your email go to your spam.





Second is open up your spam folder and at the top you should see a button that says "edit settings" right next to spam guard. You can customize these as you please. unfortunately, you may have to actually turn the guard off for it to guarantee that you get your mail...

I'm not really sure if this is what you are asking but if you want to put your business logo in your signature, you will need to host the image (logo). To do so, I suggest you use Filelodge.com . Once uploaded, copy the image link and paste it in your signature box on yahoo. Now when you send messages, the image will show if they accept to view the image.

I got an email about an idea to be in the credit card processing business. What do you guys think?

Have any of you had experience in this idea or know someone that has? Give me some feedback please. I am trying to some homework on some of the various at home business ideas for extra income.

E-mail offers are almost always a bad deal. These have the potential to be huge scams, simply because they put them out to thousands of people at no cost, and they depend on someone gullible picking up on the teaser.





If you reply, then look at them very, very carefully, and keep your antennas up all the time. If they ask for any money up front, drop them without hesitation and without remorse. At first blush, I'd say don't reply -- and mark it as spam to your e-mail provider.
Reply:As an employee of a bank that offers credit card processing services to businesses, I am positive their is nothing you can do at home that has anything to do with actually processing credit cards for a merchant with a Visa or Master Card account. Report Abuse

Reply:Did they ask your for any money? I work from home and it took me lots of wasted money before I found something legit. I know there are a few companies that hire for credit card processing but very few.





Please be sure to check them out and if they require you to pay anything for software....Don't do it!!

Reply:I don't think it's legal for an individual to process credit cards from home. Even if you have a website that accepts credit cards it's really hard to get that authorization and you have to go through a third party.

You may find companies who will let you do something from your home, but these companies need to be contacted right in your own hometown. I used to stuff envelopes with billing from the local auto store. My daughter sells candles, and makes good money. But getting an email tells you one thing; it is a racket. Never, never, never answer any email sent to you unless you know the person. You are opening yourself up to losing your time, energy, and money. Be aware of scams.


Call your Better Business Bureau with their name, or google Dangers of working from the home, and read up on this scam.

The easist and best way to write it is to find a freelance writer or someone you know is good at writing to help you. They will be objective.





Second to that, before you write, think of the following:


- 1) what is the number one thing you'd like the reader to do from reading your e-mail (call someone, buy something, etc.)


- 2) what audience are you trying to reach (teens, adults, baby boomers, etc., because this may determine your voice or the jokes you put in it


- 3) what is the voice of your business/product (is it sincere, sarcastic, funny, joyful, helpful, define it in one word), then write your paragraph and refer to that one word to see if that's what carries through

you don't have to pay for this you are paying for your computer use. Also DO NOT listen to those business emails they are nothing but scam and are trying to steal your information. If this is constintly happening while you are deleteing the messages then clcik on the email and on the bottom and itll say somthing like unsubscribe me then click it then you won't get those messages anymore. Recording Studios are NOT all about listening to Artists material. They are where musicians, bands, etc go and RECORD music and that's it.





Once you have been to a Studio and recorded some material then you need to get someone at either a Publisher (If you write your own material) or a record label, which is basically a promoter and Bank Manager! to listen to your stuff and see if there is a market for it.





By what you are telling me it sounds like what you need is a Studio that deals with Backing Tracks for you to sing to. Check out the back of Sound on Sound or maybe even in the Skinny?





Your local Yellow Pages also might be a good starting point to find a Studio to work in.

Well, #1, you don't open email that comes from someone you don't know. AND, you are among the billons world-wide that get spam. You are certainly not the exception, nor will you ever be.





SPAM


According to the anti-spam experts, we are seeing far more spam mails now than ever before. And the spammers are becoming more clever about getting past the spam filters. That's why more spam is making it to the Inbox instead of going straight to the Bulk/Spam folder, and why some of your good mails are ending up in the Bulk/Spam folder. There are a few basic things we can all do to keep spam to a minimum...


1. Spam mails that go straight to the Bulk/Spam folder should be left there, unopened. You can empty that folder any time you want, but never NEVER open spam mails. DON'T try to unsubscribe from anything and DON'T click any links in those mails.


2. Spam mails that land in your Inbox should be marked as Spam so that they are moved to the Bulk/Spam folder and their addresses placed on the Blocked list. (Blocking an address prevents mails from being received from that address in the future.)


3. Any email that you are the least bit suspicious about should be deleted immediately. Don't let curiosity get the better of you. Simply opening a spam email out of curiosity alerts the spammers that you have an active email address to which they will send TONS of spam mail in the future. Open emails ONLY from those you know and trust.





Spammers have automated scripts that send emails out using a "dictionary attack". This means their script just sends out tons of emails to various combinations of numbers and letters at different domains. Kind of like if you just start calling phone numbers starting with 100-100-0000 then 100-100-0001, etc. They don't know what is a valid email address and what is not. When you reply to one (try to unsubscribe, or replying back telling them how you hate them), you are now confirming your email address is a real, live email address. They have special lists of those, because they know they're guaranteed real. They then sell those lists to other spammers at a premium. Then you get more spam!
Reply:You can not completely stop all spam, but you can help to put a big dent in it.


First, try not to open any of them, that only makes them send more and more to you.


Check mark them and click on 'Spam,' this should stop those addresses from being delivered to your inbox.


Use your spam filter and block address.


Look for the 'Options' link at upper right corner of mail screen and click on it

make sure spam guard is on, click on save changes

Enter the E-mail address you wish blocked and click on 'add block'


you will never get mail from that address again.


This should help you to control your spam.


Other tips:


Never open E-mail unless you are absolutely sure who it is from.


Never give out your personal information to anyone.


If at a website and you must sign up for something, check the entire page to make sure you uncheck any lines wanting to send you notices, info, or ads.
