Much has been made about the two yahoo account of Sarah Palin that have been hacked. Both contain government business in them even though both are considered personal. Why is Palin trying to circumvent disclosure laws by hiding things in her person emails?
Why was Sarah Palin doing government business with her personal email?
WHO CARES!
If this is a big issue, it can only mean that no one is able to find anything real to expose.
I have not determined which way for sure that I am leaning on this election, but have noticed that politics still change to an adolescent level with supporters. What next, Obama did not properly dispose of his alkaline batteries or worse yet his toe nail clippings? McCain's Bangladeshi born (adopted)daughter was his own, illegitimate black child? Biden is loosely associated with the Ku Klux Klan?
It's not necessary for a smear to be true to be successful, it just has to be presented in a way that people will spread it.
Reply:I have seen the e-mails that were posted on-line so far and NONE of them involve any government business, way to spread rumors..
You are right though if government business was done via the personal e-mail address then there could be disclosure issues. It is possible that the hacker ended up disappointed because no such business was done on that account..
No, one of the e-mails was from her Lt. Governor complaining about all the time they both have had to waste defending their record. It was not government business but a personal complaint session. Don't believe every rumor you read on-line..
Reply:Perhaps there is so much security and firewalls with the government email system she couldn't get business done. This has happened to me in business where my company's security measures prevented me from getting documentation from a bank at a critical juncture, so I had to resort to my private Yahoo account to get the transaction completed.
It's comforting to know that, as soon as my business takes on a political slant, it will be open to hacking by Yahoo phishers (I won't make that mistake again. And many of us are probably thinking the same thing right now).
Reply:The short answer is obvious-she wanted to avoid having disclosed her shady dealings. Too bad for her that she didn't know there are many who have the knowledge to take a looksie. And for those who are trying to say the e-mail's were innocous, think again. The e-mails from other govt. staff pertaining to Alaska government business as well as the memo from a staffer discussing using the personal e-mail as a way from keeping their planning from those pesky eyes of the full disclosure laws of a state employee were immediately seized and erased off the hacked site. There are copies out there. It will be interesting to see how she lies her way around this!! Remember, the big issue here isn't the anonymous person who hacked (unfortunately this happens all too frequently) but the fact that Palin was trying to circumvent the system,Shameful Sarah!!!
Reply:I was thinking the same thing. Working for DoD, I never ever ever talk about confidential things on "unsecured" lines ie.. phones, IM, or even yahoo email. Nothing should be sent through a yahoo email account if you are a governer of a state. My best answer to this question is that she should have known better.. cause yahoo is public, so her email can be physically accessed by the public.. god help us if she continues to use yahoo mail in the whitehouse..
Now from what i understand there is an investigation going on with a firing of a deputy.. and i beleive her yahoo email was used at one point..
personally i think she sends stuff out through her yahoo that may be subject to government monitoring otherwise.
fyi for some.. the FBI can give a rats *** if that was your email account that got hacked. cause it's not that because this is illegal. this is because it's sarah palin..
Reply: You already know the answer to this question Palin is a bubblehead can you imagine someone like Palin in charge of the greatest secrets and responsible for keeping our country safe and out of danger? IF that call comes at 3 A.M. Who do you want to answer the phone?? The stress and strain of this country with the crisis it is in now with McCain's close buddy Bush running things to the ground , This will finish him off and then .. Palin will be running this country! Scary huh? America ..this is your last chance to get it right .Yes,lies and more lies to keep you from knowing the truth and what is really going on Please check out rumors on snopes.com for rumors and lies and go to wikipedia, com for who is who and what kind of background %26amp; education, they have where they were born etc! Be informed do not lsten to or believe backwards uninformed rumors The truth shall set you free! . Yes We Can
Reply:Why was her email account illegally hacked? You seem to miss the elephant standing on your foot...that's illegal to hack into people's accounts...the FBI is looking into it...was it OK to break into Daniel Ellsberg's psychiatrists office and steal his file? Never mind what was in the file...if you don't know what I am talking about get a history book and look it up...the fall of Nixon...Watergate...
Reply:It appears she like, many others, wanted to subvert the law. Speaks volumes about why the McCain campaign is so desperate to shutdown the troopergate investigation. I wonder what else she's hiding.
Reply:any government official, (or any type of celebrity,) who believes their Yahoo! email account is somehow, someway **SAFE** need to have their heads examined for brains
Reply:To get around reasonable disclosure laws. So much for the "transparency" she claims to supporter. What a LIAR that woman is!
Reply:The fact that liberal operatives hacked the personal email of a private citizen doesn't bother you at all does it?
Reply:Let's see if I got this right.
The Dems think we should protect the privacy of Terroists,
But if a Republican woman wants some we should hang the b*tch.
The spirit of Socialist Germany lives on.
Reply:Government e-mail accounts are subject to subpoena.
Reply:Funny isn't it, Saul Alinsky teaches his surrogates to attack and then play victim. This poster shows his tactics have become the dem's mantra.
Reply:Perhaps she liked Yahoo's format better than Microsoft Outlook or whatever program they use.
Reply:Because it is free as opposed to spending thousands of dollars, just to have a state website.
Reply:She saw "yahoo!" and was trying to be loyal to her running mate.
Reply:she is not a great spender lol she was just saving for all of us .. Just like " thanks but no thanks" to earmark!! People she is good christian woman lol leave her alone!! lol
Reply:its not illeagl maybe it was convience but the real issue here is who authroised it
