I hate talking on the phone....hate! It seems like anytime someone contact me about a new project they say "Please call xxxxxxxx at your earliest convenience" but I don't want to. What is a nice and professional way to say "Let's discuss this via email" ??
How do I tell business contacts to contact me by email only?
Provided you have their email address...email them and say "Hello, I got your call...I'm not able to return it right now, but you can definitely contact me through email...it would be faster for me right now! Thanks!"
And see what that does.
Reply:tell him to has face!
Reply:I LOVE this question - I am exactly the same way! I hate talking on the phone, and communicate better via email.
15 years of experience in this? Only way is to teach them. I respond to phone calls with an email, the end of which I state "It's easier to get me via email". They call back, I respond with another email.
You have to teach them that email works, phone calls do not.
I have a guy who buys my stuff %26amp; lives on his cell phone. Any time I emailed, he would call %26amp; leave a message. I would only respond with emails. Eventually he got the point.
