do u hv net connection at home.
My husband wants to check his business email from home. He does not have a Yahoo account. How do we do that?
what the heck does this look like, Ask Yahoo?
Reply:There are several ways to do this; however you will have to check with his business' IT manager to find out. Many businesses are on Microsoft's Exchange Server which provides a simple web interface to log-in to email (sort of like logging into Yahoo mail); also you could potentially download email with a pop account (you will need configuration from IT manager). Find out what your business email infrastructure is first.
Reply:It all depends on how his company allows remote access to their mail servers. I have to establish a VPN connection to my company network before I can access business email. Other companies have webmail access to their email servers. If your husband's company has webmail access, all he needs is an internet connection. He needs to ask his IT department for the URL to access webmail. Once he has that, he just uses his regular signon procedure (unless they require an extra security level, such a secureID.
If your husband's company is smaller and just uses a public email service, such as earthlink, etc., then he should call the email provider's customer service number and as for their POP3 settings. They will talk him through on setting it up in your POP3 email client, such as Outlook Express.
