Sorry, I'm horrible at this. I have an email to an acquaintance about; bumping into him at a recent event, congratulatons on his new company, and reimindng him thathe had mentioned a job to me and offering to meet.
What subject line can I use. The name of the event we saw eah other at? Congratulations? My name? I'm assuming "open job opportunites" is too straight forward. Thees not one main point to the email so I don't know how to subject title it. Please help.
What subject line can I use for this business email?
It would depend on how much you email him. If you have emailed him before and he might recognize you, I might email it as "Great to See You"
If you have not emailed him before, give your name as the title. It will be less likely to get into spam filters.
Keep the email still somewhat vague, even if he did mention the possibility of a job...
NAME,
It was great to see you at the event the other day. Congratulations again on finding your new position.
Thank you again for mentioning the job that might be a good fit for me. I would be more than happy to pass along my resume, as any advice or feedback would be greatly appreciated!
Let me know if you think I might be qualified with anything in COMPANY NAME.
I hope to see you again in the near future!
All the best,
YOUR NAME
Good luck!
Reply:i agree, great to see you again is a good one
Reply:In business writing and resumes, letters etc it is best to be quick and to the point, graciously.
Title the subject line "Follow up on %26lt;event%26gt; last %26lt;day%26gt;"
"It was great to see you and congratulations on the new company!
I was intrigued about the possibility of %26lt;job%26gt; and was wondering if we could get together some time to discuss it?
I look for to hearing from you.
Sincerely
%26lt;name%26gt;
Reply:Nice to see you at "(name of event)" -

Reply:I would title it "Great to see you again."
Reply:i would do the job opening thing that way he knows you want a answer about that subject and he wont beat around the bush
