Business email etiquette?

As a male...addressing multiple females in a business environment...would the use of 'Ladies' as a greeting be acceptable in an email?
Business email etiquette?
You are best off greeting in a non-personal or very general way, i.e.

"Good afternoon," or "Good afternoon all".

You run a risk of offending someone if you use the term "ladies", as that can have derogatory connotations in our society, unfortunately.
Reply:just the feminine counterpart of how youd address males. I would just say "hello" or "greetings" or something. If you had to address them as a group at some point, id use ladies, such as "i need you ladies to do something"
Reply:It wouldn't bother me at all, and I'm pretty sure that it wouldn't offend anyone of the other women in my office. I don't see why anyone females would be offended by being called ladies.
Reply:Depends on how well you know them.
Reply:yes, why wouldn't it be.. you don't call them "hello women"..

ladies is fine.
Reply:I think it's all in context. Just make sure it doesn't sound sleezy.
